LOUISE IS A MODERN-DAY MOTHER-MARY
In the middle (of the middle) of the country, a teenage girl gets pregnant. Her mother won't allow her to get an abortion, but refuses to allow the shame of a teenage pregnancy blemish their family's reputation. The girl's mother forces her to tell the town priest that she has been the subject of an immaculate conception-- that god is the father of her child. The lie spirals through America, and everyone believes Louise is a Modern Day Mother Mary.
